Published layout with real scraps

Hi everyone! How are you all doing? Having a great weekend? I think you all must have forgot about me now, right? ;o) Im so sorry it has been so silent in here for a long time now. I have worked hard every day on something special, and have family, school and so on, so there hasnt been any available time at all to do blogposts. But now I can finally see an end on all this work, so my blog will be updated more often from now on ;o)

Published layout with real scraps

For some months ago I created a layout with lots of real scraps on for a magazine with theme "stitches". I had these pics of my daughter from she was just around one year old where she played with our clean laundry. I thought that a stitches-themed layout would fit perfect to laundry pics. I chose to play further on this, and used real scraps as zippers, washing instructions, price tabs, buttons, safety pins and so on from new and used clothes.
Here is my end result;

The dressfrom is a textile shape by Donna Downey (Prima), and I made a skirt using a folded piece of paper and added on; - inspired by very talented and sweet Janine Koczwara from one of her amazing layouts.

Here are some close-ups showing the scrap details;

Zipper lock with textile on, plus several textile tabs and washing instructions from used clothes that she has grown out of.

"Fransa kids" textile tab with eyelet, and a cord with a safety pen to hold the piece of cardstock with the price on to the clothing. The cord is fasten like this with strong and clear glue so it will keep its position.

"Button Guarantee" on the edge of the layout fastened with a eyelet from a jeans.

This layout are made in China and fit for 3-4 year old kids ;o) Showing another textile label for clothes, sewed into the seam on the layout.

A textile patch with eyelet and the clothings manufactors name and logo on, used as a mat for the title made of foam Thickers and coloured paper.

The beautiful shaped pattern paper is from Onirie, and its original a 12x12 pattern paper, but has this design on which I cut out and made a shaped layout with.

This layout was published in a french magazine called Carnets de Scrap in Aug/Sept, and also in Scrapbooking m.m. in Scandinavia (Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
