A beautiful The Color Room palette!

Hi. Are you having a great weekend?

I have a busy weekend with lots of lots to do. Still working on my "secret things", and have lots to catch up on at school.  But, now I will share a work I did for The Color Room palette #30, which also have been published in the Russian mag Scrap-Info, where they have a great article about The Color Room in the latest issue!

This is the beautiful palette for this week, palette #30, {His Room};
I just LOVE these colors!
And this is what I made out of it, used the colors and the sketch for this layout;

And, as usual, I have some close-ups to share ;o)

The amazing birds are from Layers of Color. Here I stamped on transparent and cut them out and placed them around on the layout where I wanted them.

On the large flower from Prima I used white snow applique which pop up when you heat it. The brick background is an old brick stamp from Prima. I do get many requests about this stamp, but they do not have these in stock anymore, I think its 1-2 years since they stopped producing them. You are lucky if you can get your hands on one of these, because they are so fun to use and so hard to get! Its called Prima Collage stamp, brick. All pattern papers and flowers are also from Prima.

Did you like the palette? Why not just click into The Color Room here right away and play and have fun?! This palette if for this week, and I would love to see YOU in there with your work for this!

Thank you for your time to drop by and visit my blog, I really appreciate every one fo you! Wish you all a wonderful weekend!

Guest Design for The Dusty Attic!

Hi everyone. It's a new day, and time to share more guest designs with you all! This month I am a guest designer at The Dusty Attic too, and It's and been so FUN to play with their amazing chipboard designs!

Today I'm going to share my first work for them, and on this layout I used a BEAUTIFUL tree and a fence, both painted with Ranger Dabber paint (Snow Cap and Mushrom). On the pics you can see my daughter in the forest picking up small nature tresures, pics taken this summer.

And here are some close-ups ;o)

The beautiful yellow bird hanging in the The Dusty Attic chipboard tree is a stamp from Layers of Color. I added Prima flowers to the tree to bring a bit of "life and summer" into it. In the background I stamped with tree clear stamps from Tattered Angels to add depth to the design.

The background paper are white Bazzill canvas where I used some of my vintage edges techniques on the edges and distressed with Ranger Distress inks. All the beautiful flowers from Prima!

Here you can see the white painted beautiful chipboard fence from The Dusty Attic inbetween all the flowers from Prima. Pattern paper strip and alphabets are also from Prima. I also used a bit Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels on the background cardstock.

Thank you so much Dusty Attic for giving me this opportunity to be your honored guest this month and to play with your absolutly amazing designs!

Thanks for dropping by everyone; - HUGS! ;O)

Guest Design for Melissa Frances!

Hi.

This month I am Melissa Frances guest designer, which is an huge honor for me! I have always admired their products and loved to play with their amazing embellishments. This GDT spot has been a secret since the beginning of 2010, and finally I can share it with you all! *happy*

There will be several posts over maybe a week or two, and here are my first works for Melissa Frances, two "decorative hearts" which can be used as home decor;

Close-ups ;o)

I made these hearts of heart-shaped polystyrene. I teared strips of beautiful pattern paper from Melissa Frances, distressed the edges, and "glued" it on to the polystyrene hearts with lots of Gesso. Then wiped off the Gesso from the surface with wet wipers, before adding Ranger crackle paint (Picked Fence) to some of the "open spaces" between some of the paper strips. I also added just a bit embossing powder (brown) on top of the crackle paint before it dried to create a bit rusty look.
On the one with gold, I painted half of the heart in gold acrylic paint from Making Memories and gold crackle paint from Ranger, before adding paper strips on as described above.

I loved to create these hearts, especially with these amazing vintage products from Melissa Frances! They are actually very easy to create, and you can choose them in a style which fit your home! - please share with me if you do create some, will love to see pics! ;o)

Thank you everyone for your time to drop by and visit my blog, wish you a wonderful day!

Hi everyone.

Today I'm going to do just a quick post to share a tag I made some months ago for a magazine in France called Carnets de Scrap. They asked me to create a tag in my style with a picture of me on, and here is the result;

Playtime...

Hi all. Are you having a great day?
Here its actually snowing today and its so cold. Winter came early this year, the poor trees still have their leaves on! What happened to fall? Only three seasons this year? Hmm.. guess I must have missed that message...

Some months ago I did one layout with the theme "Childrens Games" for a magazine in France, together with the one in my last post. Here is my take on a "Childrens Games" layout;

On the picture you can see my daughter jumping into a square in hopscotch. She's playing it together with her friend Rebecca who is holding the stone and waiting for her turn to throw and jump. The layout has the title "Playtime" from the beautiful chopboard design from Scrapware.

And here are some close-ups;

In the left upper corner I used one of my favorite bird stamps from Layers of Color. Isnt this bird just beautiful?! I stamped on a piece of white paper, colored it, cut it out and used it as a piece of embellish.

Beautiful chipboard corner from Scrapware. These birds are cutouts from a Paintable from Prima.

Here is a close-up showing how I used one of Prima's vines (branch with flowers) and shaped it around the little photo of the sidewalk chalk. The beautiful white fence is chipboard from Scrapware.

Close ups of the cluster with Prima embellish, and a beautiful chipboard titel from Scrapware covered randomly with Ranger Stickles.

This layout has also now been published in Scrapbooking m.m.

Thank you so much everyone for taking your time to drop by my blog, I really appreciate your visit. Wish you all a wonderful day! *hugs*

Published layout with real scraps

Hi everyone! How are you all doing? Having a great weekend? I think you all must have forgot about me now, right? ;o) Im so sorry it has been so silent in here for a long time now. I have worked hard every day on something special, and have family, school and so on, so there hasnt been any available time at all to do blogposts. But now I can finally see an end on all this work, so my blog will be updated more often from now on ;o)

Scraplounge.ning.com

First I want to share a great scrapsite (ning site) from Brazil with tons of great inspiration! I was so honoured to be their featured guest/guest designer in September. The site is called Scraplounge, and please make sure to check it out here!

Published layout with real scraps

For some months ago I created a layout with lots of real scraps on for a magazine with theme "stitches". I had these pics of my daughter from she was just around one year old where she played with our clean laundry. I thought that a stitches-themed layout would fit perfect to laundry pics. I chose to play further on this, and used real scraps as zippers, washing instructions, price tabs, buttons, safety pins and so on from new and used clothes.
Here is my end result;

The dressfrom is a textile shape by Donna Downey (Prima), and I made a skirt using a folded piece of paper and added on; - inspired by very talented and sweet Janine Koczwara from one of her amazing layouts.

Here are some close-ups showing the scrap details;

Zipper lock with textile on, plus several textile tabs and washing instructions from used clothes that she has grown out of.

"Fransa kids" textile tab with eyelet, and a cord with a safety pen to hold the piece of cardstock with the price on to the clothing. The cord is fasten like this with strong and clear glue so it will keep its position.

"Button Guarantee" on the edge of the layout fastened with a eyelet from a jeans.

Textile dressfrom from Donna Downey with a paper skirt, and lots of stitches to create the layered background.

This layout are made in China and fit for 3-4 year old kids ;o) Showing another textile label for clothes, sewed into the seam on the layout.

A textile patch with eyelet and the clothings manufactors name and logo on, used as a mat for the title made of foam Thickers and coloured paper.

Zipper as a base and "line" under pictures

The beautiful shaped pattern paper is from Onirie, and its original a 12x12 pattern paper, but has this design on which I cut out and made a shaped layout with.

This layout was published in a french magazine called Carnets de Scrap in Aug/Sept, and also in Scrapbooking m.m. in Scandinavia (Norway, Denmark and Sweden.

I will update again with more news very soon. Thank you so much for dropping by, and I wish you all a fabolous weekend! *hugs* :)
