Christmas 2010
Hi everyone, and Happy Merry Christmas!
Yes, I know I am late with this post, to wish you all a great Christmas, and I am so sorry for that. But it has been a special December month for me...
First I used every day, from the morning to the evening, to move my scrap room. I had a water leak in my studio where I used to have it, so I had to move it all and use weeks on creating a new room, when I already had a crazy time. And when I worked on my new room, I managed to drop a 20 kilos heavy IKEA shelf down on my foot! Yeah, you know, on the middle/top of the foot where it hurts most, of course... Luckily, after a day at hospital and x-ray, we found out that nothing had broke, even though my foot did look like Tweety's, in lilac version... *lol*
And December month has been very sad for our family. My very close "aunt" and godmother have been sick with cancer, and she passed away on Christmas eve. My mum and I have spent a lot of time visiting her, and we was the only family she had left. So this Christmas has not been as we imagined or hoped for at all... Our dear Aunty will be dearly missed, and cherished memories of her will always live in our hearts.
The two last days we have spent with our families, and after posting this post we will spend the rest of this day with my mum and have traditional Norwegian Christmas dinner. Even though we woke up to a very sad Christmas eve, it has been a nice Christmas with lots of snow and the kids have enjoyed it a lot. Tomorrow is a ordinary day again here in Norway, and I will finish up my new scrap room, getting ready to work on CHA-samples for 2011! ;o)
Here I will share some Prima Christmas trees I made a week back;
..I used some polystyrene tubes/trees to create these trees. Used some old Prima paper with a lilac background, and misted it with lilac and Moonlight Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist. Then I used a clear stamp with music notes from Prima and embossed the lilac paper with gold music notes. Teared the pattern paper in approx. 2 inch thick paper strips, and glued them on (only the upper half part of the strips) to the tubes with hot glue, and then folded up the lower part of the strips with my fingers. After covering the whole polystyrenes with paper strips and folded them right, I added some snow medium from Aleene's and some glitter. Added a Prima golden start on the top of the trees. These trees were very easy to create. If I had more time I would had done a tutorial on them to show you how I made them, but maybe next year.. ;o) I chose lilac this year because it is a trendy color in 2010 here in Norway, lilac and indigo, also for Christmas.
And of course, we had a little photo shoot for pics of Iselina to the Christmas cards, and here are a few of them;
I hope you all had a great Christmas so far, and will use this opportunity to thank you all for all your nice visits and comments in 2010! it means so much to me, it truly inspire me to continue to share my works with you all, and I feel so honored to have so many of you dropping by all the time, to spend some of your time to follow my work; - THANK YOU everyone of you! I hope you all will continue to follow me also for 2011! ;o) And I promise you to update more often then, and even share some BIG secrets! ;o)
My best wishes for 2011 to all of you, hope it will be an AMAZING year full of creativity and happiness!
