Welcome to our Prima blog hop, a journey across the world filled loads of inspiration by the talented Ingvild Bolme DT!
If you go to Prima's blog today, you will see that this DT will have a special spot at Prima the next months. This we celebrate today with a great blog hop, so welcome on board for a fun and inspirational web ride!
First up I will share one of my latest projects. It's a photo art canvas where I used several different techniques, a photo I took of my girl when she was 3 years old, and it's all painted over.
I used one resin from an earlier release, and two NEW products coming up for CHA this month as 3D elements on this photo art painting.
"A Light For You In Dark Places" - Canvas by Ingvild Bolme
Above: I started to take pictures of my daughter when I got my first Canon when she was 5 months old. There has been loads of shoots since, thousands of pictures, but never ever have a single photo ended up at my wall. I always planned to do something special with my favorite photos, and finally, after years of studying techniques and inspiring art from world famous artists, I jumped into it and did my very first canvas of this kind. This is a 30x30 photo art canvas, all painted over.
Above: Here is a close-up of my girl, age 3 by then, where she is posing in the basement of an very old house where there was no lights at all except from the single one shining in trough the window.
Most details are painted and many techniques are used.
Above: Up in the right corner I used a Shabby Chic Treasures resin "Window Frame" for a 3D look. Inside of the window I added a clear transparency with a broken glass effect.
Above: The terracotta bricks on top of each other in this corner is an important detail on the project, it adds the needed amount of color.
Above: As a second 3D element I added the NEW "Water Pipe Parts" and the "Water Taps" from the "Junkyard Findings" collection". These are real looking water pipe elements in metal with a flat backside. The "Water Taps" have a drop on each with a word on, and the "Water Pipe Parts" comes in a pack with total 13 pieces where they can be built to a own pipe line set-up to suit your project!
Above: On the cement wall I added a quote that suited for this photo theme and look, and also has an important meaning to my daughter and her life from me as her mum.
Below are some NEW Ingvild Bolme - Prima products used on this art canvas.
