Hi. I'm Solange Marques, and I live in Curitiba, Brazil, with my husband, Joao, and some of my children. I have five children: Camila, Alexandre, Bruno, Gabriela, Miguel and two grandchildren: Clara and Samuel. They are always present in my creations.
I am graduated in architecture and fine arts, but I have been working in a bank for 24 years as an appraiser of jewelry.
I love to use paints and texture in my layouts and I melt the photos with the background. I love mixing a lot of techniques and products in my pages, such as acrylic paints, watercolor, stamps, modeling paste and acrylic gesso.
I love the artsy style!
When did you discover paper craft , and why do you still create within this craft?
I love paper craft since I was a child. I always was in love with this. I used to draw and to paint, and discovered scrapbook in 2004 and today I am completely crazy about it!
Where do you find inspiration to your work?
I love to find inspiration in things that are around me, such as colors of the nature, textures, pattern of clothes... I also love to see several blogs and some scrapbooking works to find inspiration.
Where and when do you prefer to create, and how do you prefer to have it around you?
I prefer to create alone in my atelier. It can be anytime and in silence. I can't create at crops with friends, I need to have all of my supplies with me and being able to try them out.
How does your scrap place usually look like?
I have a own scrap room but it is extremely messy. I do several projects at the same time and some times I can't find my stuff, there are paints and papers occupying everywhere.
Do you have any favorite Prima - Ingvild Bolme line products?
I love Prima - Ingvild Bolme line products. My favorites are the Shabby Chic Treasures resins and metal embellishments because they are very charming and versatile!
Now let's take a look at Solange's amazing art!

Look at the whimsical butterflies and the cool corner on the top.
Above: Solange's use of different art mediums, masks and wonderful colors are really stunning to look at, gives an texture out of this world! Also note the fun way she used the Gears together with the flowers; really clever!
Dream layout by Solange
Above: A stunning summer layout in fresh and wonderful colors, all built up to a perfect designed and balanced layout. Here you can see how Solange so impressive makes the photo float into the whole layout design as one complete image, as an own little world.
Above: Solange here used a Shabby Chic Resin Treasure "La Coeur" as a frame around a very creative use of art mediums to create a pond looking water design with the titling inside! The photo of the beautiful girls is even hard to tell if its a complete photo, or if it's a cut out, because the backgrounds blends so perfectly together in the way Solange use all the mediums.
