Hi all my dear blog readers. How are you all today? ;O)

I have finally been able to pick a winner of my blog candy. This post was supposed to be shared some days ago, but my MacBook keeps turning itself off all the time, so I have been unable to pick a winner and write the whole post before my Mac have turned itself off hundreds of times.. :S

But here it is... finally. It was really hard to find a winner because you had all left so many wonderful words and you all seemed to really deserve it. But I had to pick one, and this time it felled on this lady with this comment;

I will wish you all a wonderful and happy Christmas. I thank all of you for your time to dropping by and for following my blog. I appreciate every one of you!

Today we will celebrate Christmas here in Norway, on December 24th. This is our "main" Christmas day, the day we have family Christmas dinner and then open up all the presents. So after posting this post I will go and get dressed and then head to my brothers house were our whole family will celebrate Christmas together today.

I hope you all will have some wonderful Christmas Holidays with your families, and wish you all all the best!

Chipboard Candies from Dusty Attic!

Hi everyone.

I hope you are all doing fine and that you are all feeling creative?
I've been busy as usual, but even though it has been chaotic, I took some time to create too, and really enjoyed every second of it. It was extra easy to have fun when I had the opportunity to play with lovely goodies from Dusty Attic, Onirie and Prima!

And here is the result of my time off to create, a layout filled with goodies from some of my favorite brands!

I didn't plan this layout to be so "dreamy", but I had so fun playing with the beautiful chipboard pieces from Dusty Attic and pattern papers from Onirie with the butterflies on, that it all just "took off" and ended like this in the end. Isn't it fun how it goes sometimes?

Here is a close-up showing the beautiful peacock chipboard feather from Dusty Attic, where I used Tattered Angels glimmer mist and Ranger Stickles on, in lots of different green and blue colors. For the brick wall background I used Prima's brick wall mask (negative type), added Gesso medium and let it dry, before using my Prima Chalk Edger "Brick Wall" over the medium to add the red color.
You can also see the wall lamp, the Shabby Chic Metal Treasure from my last release with Prima.

Lots and lots of beautiful Prima flowers clustered together. The wings on my daughter is from a butterfly on one of Oniries Pattern papers (Collection Jardin Enchantè #030357) where I just cut them out and added a bit Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (Turquoise) on. The birdbath and small birds is one of my designs from the Prima Shabby Chic Resin Treasure collections.

Look at the beautiful chipboard border design from Dusty Attic which I painted white and then stamped on with a text stamp randomly just to add a bit pattern to it, The titling is a rub-on from Prima, where I just replaced one of the words with larger letters from a alpha sticker set from Prima.

Sharing some earlier Prima layouts

Hi everyone, how are you today?

I just got back home from Australia, from two AMZING weeks on the other side of the world that I will never forget! I met so many wonderful and sweet people, and I had such a great time!
I will share more of the Prima Road Tour Australia in other upcoming blog posts, but first I will share some earlier made Prima layouts with you all.

First I would like to share a whole image of the layout I taught in all the classes in Australia, plus some classes up in Europe in September. Here is "My Iselina", a Prima layout with a picture of my little daughter named Iselina, who turned 5 years when I was down in Australia;

Her birthday is on November 12th, and I am now in the middle of the planning of her party tomorrow. She wished for her mum to celebrate with her, so she wished to wait until I got back home. So, after 40 hours traveling to head back home and some sleep, now it is time to bake some cakes to get ready to her princess Birthday party tomorrow! ;O)

This layout, "My Iselina", have been taught in Sweden, Belgium, Norway, Israel and Australia, to around 470 amazing people. Australia was the last country I would teach this layout in, so now I can put it up in here and share it with all of you. I hope that those of you who have attended one of my classes will share your samples too! ;O)

And here is another one that I made months ago for the great French Magazine Histoires De Pages for an article about how to use text stamps differently. On this one I used text stamps on flowers to decorate flowers and make them a bit different. the layout is called "A Child's Art", and shows pictures of my daughter from she was about 2,5 years old and played around outside with chalks and had fun making "art".

If you look close on the main picture you can see that she has a belt on that hangs a bit out on the side. I used that same belt as embellishment on this layout to make it a bit more memorable and special, and to pick up something extra from the picture and to draw attention to it.

Here is a close-up of the small photo on the layout, showing my daughter when she is in action and playing with the chalks. Here you can also see how it is stamped on the Prima flowers with text stamps from Layers of Colours Art Stamps.

And here is another one I made months back for the great french Magazine Scrap Pour Tous.;

Here I used 3 pictures of my daughter. Cut her out in two of them, but kept the original background on one of them so I didn't cut away the whole story on the picture, but let some of the original surroundings be left. But I also tried to focus on the colors and the background on the layout to strengthen up this a bit, to still let it look like it actually did in the forest that day. My idea is when I cut away everything around a person on a picture, I like it when there is still something left of the original story, somehow.

This day she brought a glass with lid to collect in small "baby frogs" or what ever she could find in the forest of wild small bugs and animals.

On the picture down to right you can see her sitting with the glass and the red lid have felled off and is laying on the ground in front of her. So the important small things are still there even though the background is cut away. Then you can see her walking away and heading over to the main picture which still has the background on, where you can see the water where she were looking for the small bugs and frogs etc.

This was all I had the time to share today, but I will get back very soon to share more ;O)

The Upcoming Prima Tour in Australia!

Hi all!

Sorry for all the dust in here, but I have been very busy working on several projects and lots of upcoming classes, including THIS UPCOMING AUSTRALIA TOUR IN NOVEMBER! :D

I am so excited about this and can't wait to get on the plane and fly down to "Down Under" and meet all the great scrappers there! I have looked forward to this trip for a long time now, and finally the tour is very close. I will be in Australia for about 2 weeks and teach around in many places in Australia in those two weeks. And I really hope to see YOU there! ;O)

This is sneak peeks of the layout I will teach;

It is a detailed layout filled with several techniques and layers, and of course we will have fun using and playing with the new tool line with Prima, Comfort-Craft Tools! ;O)

Some great days in Israel

Hi everyone.

I am so sorry it has been a while since last time I posted in here, but September month is pretty busy with lots of traveling, so I have not been home much at all, and when I am, I feel that it is just to wash some clothes and to say "hi" to my family ;O) lol.

This month started with a great trip to Sweden to teach at CountryScrap, then I had one weekend off before heading to beautiful Israel, which also what today's post is about. Then, last weekend I was in Belgium at Scraptastic, before I again already tomorrow will head to Tonsberg in Norway to teach a bunch of Norwegian girls at CASA event! But, those last events I have to blog about later, now first Israel before I have to start to pack before my plane leaves in 10 hours! ;O)

It was so nice to be invited to Israel by Alice at My Punch. Israel is for some reason a country I never thought I would ever visit, so it was extra nice to get this invitation and to go there and to see their beautiful country and to meet lots of sweet scrappers from there plus even some from Russia!

Israel is really beautiful, and very inspirational. They have the outer contrast in everything, especially religion, architecture, art, technology and so on. When looking at the buildings it is almost as looking at something like "back to the future", a fusion, a totally mix of very old buildings and new modern architecture.

A backyard with old apartments. Just look at the windows, the window closers, the clothes on a wire, and the washing machine standing outside with a cat cage on top of it. Loved to walk around and to find photographic motives as this!

The day after I arrived I headed out to the local antique market, bought some treasures, and took some pictures;

This market was so full of treasures you can't even believe it! I did buy a few things, but found many more. But unfortunately all the stores at the market closed before I managed to look around and to get back to buy what I found.

Yes, these stores was amazing, full of treasures for every scrapper and antique interest persons! ;O) If I had time, I could spend hours and hours in each store, for sure!

This is a quick shot I took out of the window from a taxi when heading back to the hotel, it shows the area down at the sea, the outer part of Tel Aviv.

Now, Thursday morning, time for a class! Comfort-Craft Tools all lined up just waiting to be played with! ;O)

This is a bunch of sweet and talented ladies from the thursday layout class!

And here some fun and sweet ladies from the Friday class, where we created two projects!

They were all so sweet and wonderful, very talented ladies that it was an honor to meet and to have in my classes! I had some amazing days in Israel, and would had gone back there in a heart beat!

On Friday after the last class Alice took me out for dinner and to show me another part of the city, and this cute and probably homeless cat came up to us and begged for some food.

The cat sat beside us both for a while and was pretty relaxed and not afraid at all. And suddenly it couldn't resist the nice smell from the food anymore, so it "stole" Alice's lamb bone and ran away with it! Luckily Alice was done eating by that time... ;O)

It was a very beautiful area Alice showed me, and a great place to take more pictures. Just look at this cute little aqua colored house and the iron door, sign and bench! And again, don't miss the modern skyscraper in the background ;O)

I had 4 amazing days down in Israel, and I am both proud and honored to have been there, for visiting their beautiful country and to meet such sweet scrappers!

Thank you Alice for inviting me, I really appreciate it and you and all of you who attended my classes gave me some memories I will never forget! Thank you every one of you!!! I sure hope I will see you girls again one day!

Sharing a layout and some great moments from last weekend!

Hi all blog readers and friends!

Today I wish to share an layout I created months ago, plus some pics from last weekend in Sweden where I taught two workshops with a great bunch of fun and sweet ladies!

First the layout. "Do You Remember Your Kitty? We tried to save her but then she was gone..." I think the title says a lot about what this layout is about. It was a little cute kitty we tried to save from some neighbors who wanted to just put her down at the vet because they didn't want to pay what it had to cost to save her when she was sick. I just couldn't accept that, so I paid the bill and told the vet to do what they had to to save her, and then I brought her home to us, to her "new family". The kitty recovered, and my daughter totally felled in love with her. But then, on the 31st of October, on Halloween, she just never came back home again.. Only about a month after we saved her. Kind of a sad story for us, and we really miss her. So I created this layout about "the story" for my daughter;

I used lots of Prima products in a different way and style on this layout. I used light kraft cardstock as background and Prima masks in a negative way for the white branches on the background. I simply added on the masks where I wanted them, then draw a line around them with a thin black pen, and then added white paint pretty randomly inside of the drawn black lines.
The flower is self made from different Prima flowers and center, and the "Remember" title is hand cut out from an old Prima pattern paper. The picture frame is also made with a mask and the same technique as the branches, but this time I used different Distress Inks to color it.

The touches of steampunk; the details with tiny clock gears, clock face and colored Gesso is totally inspired by the amazing Finnabair, who I am so proud of having as a friend. She is so talented and I totally admire everything she do! Please make sure to check out here blog here!

Workshops in Sweden

Last weekend I was in Sweden to teach workshops in Uddevalla, an great event ran by CountryScrap. I met a lot of lovely ladies and had such a great time over there. It was just one hour flight, but it doesn't matter where in the world I teach when where I am is just like this! A beautiful place on the countryside of Sweden, ran by some lovely ladies from Countryscrap, and lots of fun ladies who attended the classes! Great food was served, with BBQ dinner on Saturday, and even the weather was great, just like a beautiful summer day! Could we ask for more? No, this weekend was just perfect! Such a great place and such great classes to teach!

Altered Glass Bottle with Alcohol Inks and Prima!

Hi all Dear blog readers!

How are you all today? Had a great weekend? When I am writing this blog post, I am in Sweden teaching classes and having loads of fun with some lovely Swedish ladies! :D I will write more about all that when I get back home again, so please check back soon for updates from my trip.

But first now I wish to share a altered bottle I made for CHA. It's an old liqueur glass bottle with silver cap that I found in a antique store for a cheap piece of money.
So, I brought it home and started to play on it with Ranger Alcohol Inks to add some colors too it. I dripped alcohol inks (in 3 different green colors) in the bottle opening and down on the insides of the bottle while holding the bottle down in a pretty flat angle to give the ink a chance to dry on its way down to the bottom.
Then I embossed the front of the bottle with a Prima stamp and Ranger Tea Dye embossing powder. It is pretty fun to play with stamps and embossing powder directly on to glass bottles! From here it was ready to be decorated after desire, where I decided to add Prima Vintage Trinkets (metals) with crystal and pearl hanging down from the silver cap.

On the front of the bottle I used one resin window, "Old Church Window" from my new line with Prima, the Shabby Chic Resin Treasures, as a main design on the front. Then I added a Prima butterfly, chipboard journal, a piece of a Say-it-in-Crystals and a rose and beautiful new branch!

Then I found, as the very last step, some old vintage book sheets that I curled together and added a piece of cord around, before I dropped them down into the bottle. That's it, as simple as that! ;O)

Today I also wish to share two photos of my daughter I took of her last week.

My happy little girl grows up so fast! Where did time go? When did she actually grew up? She is 4,5 years now, turns 5 in November! My happy little sunshine, I feel I just gave birth to her, remember the first time I did hold her in my arms as it was yesterday, and she is 5 soon!

I am so proud of who she has become, the amazing little (big) girl she is, how she makes everyone around her happy, and how she always wish everyone well and all the best, the BIG heart she has.. - I am so proud of you Iselina! <3 Mum

The upcoming classes in September and October

Hi everyone.

Today I wish to share a post with information for the upcoming classes in September and October.
It is long lasting classes with rich kits, where each class will contains two projects/layouts!

THIS WEEKEND
3rd and 4th Sept. @ CountryScrap in Sweden!

Some seats still available, be quick!

Where: Stenshult ( Between Uddevalla and Trollhättan/Vänersborg

This is a Prima layout class with the same class both days, so you choose one of the dates.
On Saturday evening there is a Grill Scrap Treff (BBQ Scrap Crop)!

We will create two Prima layouts filled with layers, details and techniques in a style which I usually scrap. So you get total 2 rich layouts in the kit + extra products!

When the classes starts, there will be some introductions of Comfort-Craft Tools and techniques, and these great tools will be available for each student during the class! (Please see own info about this and "to bring list" lower in this post.)

The crop room and store opens at 10:00.

The class starts at 11.30. (Sunday 10:30) All ends around 17:00.(Sunday 16:00)

Price: 875,- SEK for the class (you choose one day) - 1000,- SEK for one class including the BBQ Scrap Crop! Prices includes large Prima kits for 2 very detailed layouts + extra products, food for breakfast and lunch, plus BBQ food if you sign up for the BBQ Scrap Crop too.

Celebrating 4th anniversary of

15th and 16th Sept. @ My Punch in Israel!

There will be two different Prima classes on this event, one project class and one layout class, so you can enjoy two different classes. In the layout class we will create two rich layouts, and in the project class we will create one jorunal and one standing photo frame. Both classes filled with details and fun techniques!

Here is the first layout for the layout classes

And this is the second layout in the layout class;

"To Bring List" for the Prima layout classes:

1. Liquid glue

2. Paper Trimmer

3. Scissor

4. Cord (approx. 1 m/ 38-40 inch long). Dark brown (or brown or black). The kind you use for necklaces etc is fine, or around the same thickness. We will use it to hand stitch large stitches with.

5. A large needle with a hole large enough for the cord you bring. (These can usually be bought in craft and hobby stores where they sell knitting accessories etc.)

6. Ranger Dabber “Snow Cap” (or acrylic white paint and a piece of foam)

7. Dark brown and black thin pens, plus a white one if you have.

8. Prima Chalk Edgers – “Dry Sand” , “Old Road” and “Dark Bark” (alternative Distress inks in soft/light brown, dark brown and black/soot + a foam).

9. Black ink pad (for stamping)

10. Acrylic block (to mount acrylic stamp on).

11. Wet wipers

12. Photo (for layout 1). Recomandations and guidelines for choice of photo to bring:

- Sepia or black and white (soft, not too dark)

- A photo that suit for this title; “Remembering The Special Moments With You”. Can be of someone special, with someone special, a relationship, a family member etc. Your choice! ;O)

- Size; Width: max 7,5 cm / 3 inches. Height: max 9 cm / 3,5 inches. It may be smaller if you want to. This layout works well for a small photo, for example a passport photo if you wish, or a cut out of a person etc. Bring several photos if you wish and we can wee which one that works best.

13. Photo: Portrait format! (for layout 2) Recommended size; Max with; 9 cm / 3, 5 inches. Max height: 13,5 cm/ 5 1/3 inches.

(If you wish to “frame” the photo as in one of the steps in the class, you should try to follow the recommended sizes as close as possible. Or, you can easily use a smaller photo and add on top of mat instead of framing it.)

Colors on layout (if you wish to bring a matching photo) light colors, with turquoise, red, light yellow, moss green, soft light blue etc (see sneak peeks above). Safe choice can be a black and white photo, light/soft shades, not too dark and black.

Optional:

- Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, moss green or a natural green color, not too bright.

And this is sneak peeks of one of the projects in the project class, a journal!

And, the last class, a part of the project class, is a standing photo frame!

Comfort-Craft Tools in all the classes!

Each student who attend one of all my upcoming classes will be able to borrow one set of our BRAND NEW Prima Comfor-Craft Tools! This is one of my new lines, designed for hours of comfortable crafting, and each student who attend my upcoming classes will be some of the first ones to try out these tools! Each student will borrow one small self healing mat, one Distresser Tool, and one Craft Knife during the class.

In the beginning of each class, there will be some demos on these tools showing some fun techniques we will use during the class! :O) I will bring some test samples of Chalk Edgers, but if you are able to bring your own (mentioned on the to bring list), please do so. Check with your local store or each event for the class for possibilities.

About time to post some works again.... Altered coffee Grinder!

Hi all my dear blog readers.

First of all; sorry! Sorry for being such a bad blogger! I hope my blog will be better and more fun for everyone to visit more regular soon. The last months has been worse then even usual, and I wish to do something about that, wish to change it all to the better! Starting today! ;O) I wish to post more often with different kind of posts, and at least never wait so long as this time before I post works again. So sorry for that, but time have just been insane the last months with the USA-tour, CHA, planning upcoming classes and product designs.

Anyway, enough "blah blah" from me today, time to show a altered item I did before I left for USA;

A altered coffee grinder! I bought a cheap mini coffee grinder at a local antique store, and it was boring and looked pretty "bad", just brown, and even the label holder which used to be on it was off... I got it for like $5, so I thought that was a fair enough price for a poor item as this and thought I then had "budget" to invest a bit creative time on it instead to try to make it look less poor.. ;O)

So I altered with new and old Prima goodies, and painted it white. Went for shabby chic light colors, and pretty much tried to "bring back life to it" in the words meaning ;O) I had in mind a living coffee grinder, where flowers were growing and stretching out on the top of the grinder (instead of coffee beans), and where the same flowers pops out and grows out of the drawer who pops open where some old gears are running inside of it and still saying "tic tac". The is even a family leaving inside of the grinder, as a little house, and on the backside of the grinder you can twist it up just like an old bell clock, even though you of course never do that with a grinder.. ;O) But in my mind when I created this one, I wanted it to be "all alive and still ticking"... Like a fairy tale.. a wonderland....or a dream box? Or maybe a Fantasy House?...

Here you can see all the flowers and the butterfly on top of the project, the flowers kind of growing and stretching out and don't want to be pressed down and into the grinder... ;O) You can also see here the white painted and crackled effect I added to the boring brown original wood on the grinder.

Here you see the coffee grinder from a different angle, showing one side with one of my resin windows from the Shabby Chic Resin Treasures at Prima. I also used my resin corners up in the corners on front of the project. Since the resins are white original, it is very easy to recolor them just as you want, the colors will show easily and show their true color. On these I still wanted them to be white, so I only added touches of my Chalk Edgers "Dry Sand" randomly to the edges to make them look more vintage. The same I did on all the white painted edges to give them the same look.

Here you can see the drawer filled with old clock gears and Prima flowers. You can also easily here see the brown edges and vintage paper corners that is distressed with Comfort-Craft Tool's - Distresser Tool, after the paper was added to the project. The Chalk Edgers is so easy to control and add chalk fluid to wherever you wish to add it to create an old looking effect. Resin corners up in the corners of the project, from the Shabby Chic Resin Treasures collection, kit Sculpture Window.

On this side you can see an open window into "the home" where "someone" is living in this grinder.. ;O)

The backside of the grinder, showing where you can "pull it up" as a clock ;O) At least you can do that on this one in my fantasy world.. ;O)

On the back I used a resin from my Shabby Chic Resin Treasures, the "ceiling ornaments". Made a hole in it and added an old rusty bell clock key into the hole.
Again you can see the distressed paper corners which is distressed with Distressing Tool and Chalk Edgers, both from my new lines with Prima!

Hi all.

Just a quick post to share some info for upcoming classes in Sweden! ;O)

Country Scrap in Sweden, 3rd and 4th September!
- Still some seats available, but be quick!

This is a Prima layout class with the same class both days, so you choose one of the dates.
On Saturday evening there is a Grill Scrap Treff (BBQ Scrap Crop)!

Price: 875,- SEK for the class (you choose one day) - 1000,- SEK for one class including the BBQ Scrap Crop! Prices includes large kits for 2 very detailed layouts + extra products, food for breakfast and lunch, plus BBQ food if you sign up for the BBQ Scrap Crop too.

Where: Stenshult ( Between Uddevalla and Trollhättan/Vänersborg
The crop room and store opens at 10:00. The class starts at 11.30. (Sunday 10:30) All ends around 17:00.(Sunday 16:00) You can find more information here.

We will create a layout filled with layers, details and techniques in a style which I usually scrap. If there is enough time in the class, we will create a 2nd layout which is in the kit too! So you get total 2 layouts in the kit + extra products!
There will be available one tool set of Comfort-Craft Tools for each student to borrow during the class to test out and do fun techniques with! (there will be demo on the tools and the techniques first when the classes starts, which is a part of the teaching program)

Hi all

How are you all? I'm sorry this post comes a bit later then planned, but here it is and I hope you will all enjoy some peeks into some of the Prima classes from the USA and Canada tour in July.

First up are some photos from the classes at Treasured Memories, the Canadian store in Edmonton which I blogged a bit about in the last post. This was the first store of two I visited in Canada, and we had two classes here, one project class and one layout class, and here are some pics of both of them;

This is just a quick tag I made to Treasured Memories of some scraps from my teaching kit.

And after two great days at Treasured Memories in Edmonton, the trip went to Scrapbooker's Paradise in South Calgary, Canada.

After 5 great days in Canada and as a guest at Trisha and her family (thank you for taking so good care of me!), 4 days with teaching (2 in Edmonton and 2 in Calgary), the trip went all the way down to Florida in USA to teach at two stores there, Paper Niche and Everything Scrapbooks and Stamps!

This is the group of lovely ladies I had in the layout class at Paper Niche, and 3 of them came all the way up from Brazil to take the class!

After teaching two classes at Paper Niche, I went to Everything Scrapbook's and Stamps in Florida to teach for the very last day on this great tour. Again I had two classes, and both of them an pleasure and honor to teach.

And, the layout class at the same store. Again, so many sweet ladies which was an honor to meet and to have in class.

It have been almost 3 amazing weeks "on the road" (on 15 planes ;O) ) where I met so many wonderful ladies. It has been a pure pleasure and honor to meet every single one of them and to have them in my classes, I feel so honored to have got this opportunity, to travel around and to meet so many wonderful scrappers in USA and Canada, and even all the way up from Brazil! Scrapbooking is an amazing craft that brings so many people together from around the world, and I am proud and happy to be a part of this craft and to have the opportunity to travel around and to meet and teach so many wonderful people! - Thank you to every one of you who I met on this tour and to all of you who took my classes, to make it all so extra special! I hope you had a great time too and maybe picked up something during the classes. Hope I will meet you all again one day soon!

From the classes on my tour

Hi everyone, hope you all had a great weekend?

Today I will share a bit more from my great tour in USA and Canada.

After CHA, I stayed together with Trisha Ladouceur one more night in Chicago to teach a bunch of lovely ladies at a hotel there, a event ran by Swirlydoos and the amazing Krissy Mossberger who I was so happy to finally meet after "years" online!

After Swirlydoos event in Chicago, my plan was to fly straight in to New York the next morning to teach @ Lasting Memories on Saturday July 23rd. But that night in Chicago was insane, in rained and rained and it didn't stop before half Chicago was floated and the water went over the roof of the cars some places! So, of course, the airport was floated too, and all flights were cancelled or delayed that morning. It took me 3,5 hours in a line just to get to the check-in! So, it says it all, I had no chance to make my flight that morning, even if I had been there 4 hours before my flight I wouldn't had made it. My flight was around one hour delayed, but still I had no chance to make it, the whole airport was chaos that morning.
So, due to this, a group of lovely ladies had to wait and wait at Lasting Memories in NY for my classes while I were stuck at the airport in Chicago. I got there hours too late, and due to that we had to cancel one of my classes, which was really sad and that I am so sorry for. But imagine, even after hours and hours of waiting and one class cancelled, the ladies were so sweet and patience, and they were a class that was a big pleasure and honor to teach! Here they are;

From here the tour went to Canada to teach at two different stores in Edmonton and Calgary. I flied in to Canada already the next morning and my friend Trisha picked me up at the airport and so friendly opened the doors to her home to let me stay there while I was in Canada. She took really good care of me all the 5 days I was up there and I had a great time visiting Canada!

First class up was Treasured Memories in Edmonton, a wonderful store with lots of great art and treasures! Just look at these images!

CHA and Chicago!

Hi all my dear blog visitors!

How are you all? I'm so sorry that I have not been able to do any blog posts in weeks! When I was in USA and Canada I was busy all the time and didn't have access to Internet every day. I really hoped I could share with you all how everything was while I was still there, but time ran away from me every day. However, now I am back home, came 2 days ago, and will do some blog posts to share a bit about my July-tour! ;O)

After teaching at Remember When in California, I went straight up to Chicago to attend CHA for the first time. I arrived on Sunday, and used half Monday to prepare the booth for the opening on Tuesday. The rest of the day we, Prima girls who attended CHA, spent in Chicago city which is a beautiful city! Trisha Ladouceur took us all out on a boat trip so we could see a lot of this great city, then we went to, yes.. *wohooo!* :D the Cheescake Factory for dinner, which have been on my "to do list" for years! I so love cheesecakes, so this was like a huge "toy store" for me! ;O) I think I used at least one hour to dig myself trough the menu before I finally just picked two sorts of cheesecakes to bring with me to the hotel room for desserts! :D

Here I'm doing some makes and takes with some lovely ladies! We made cards with brand new Prima products and tried out Comfort-Craft Tools with several fun techniques! We had makes and takes all 3 days, and the amazing Drew Scott was so sweet and helped me out every single day! - Thank you so much Drew for everything you did and helped out with, I truly appreciate it!

And look look at these BRAND NEW frames from Prima! Comes in vintage brown, off-white and black, and is all you need to frame your layout to put them on your wall!

Hint; Look at the sample layout which comes in it!... ;O) lol.

We stayed at a hotel just a few blocks away, and look at the view from our hotel room! ;O) CHA right in front of us!

It was 4 amazing days in Chicago and @ CHA. Prima's boot was amazing as always, filled up with beautiful and hot new products and amazing samples created by the design team. Prima's booth was one of the best at CHA for sure! It was an honor to take part in this all, to attend CHA with Prima, showcase my own line *so proud and happy*, and to finally meet all the wonderful people working at Prima plus all the other people in the industry that I finally met for the very first time! So many sweet persons stopped by and said hi, and I loved to meet you all! Thank you to all of you who took your time and dropped by Prima's booth to say "hi", to all of you who took your time to check out the new lines and to all of you who placed orders. Thank you everyone of you for making my very first time at CHA to such a amazing experience! Hope I will see you all again soon!

Hi all!

I'm back in the hotel room after an amazing day at Remember When in Valencia CA teaching two classes with the most wonderful students! THANK YOU to each one of you for such a wonderful day, you all truly made my day!

This class students had the opportunity to be the very first class trying out my NEW tool line Comfort-Craft Tools and some of my Shabby Chic Resin Treasures (all to be released by Prima!), even before this planned released at CHA this upcoming week, "Hot of the press"!

A layout with BRAND NEW Shabby Chic Metal Treasures!

Hi all!

By the time you are reading this I am on the plane on my way to USA to teach classes and to attend CHA, before heading to Canada for some days too. And I am soooo excited, can hardly wait to get there!

In the meantime I wish to share a layout I recently made with some of my new Shabby Chic treasures, resin and metals, on. "Welcome Love" is a layout with two photos of my daughter from when she was 12 days old.

And some close-ups;

I used Shabby Chic Metal bird cages in different sizes mixed with different Prima rub-on bird cages behind each other to create a impression of 3D.

And here I used a sparrow resin from Small Birds #890773 and a Stair Ornament #890759.

I love how easy it is to add personal touches to the resins. Here I used our BRAND NEW Chalk Fluid Edgers "Rusty Bucket" to add brown touches to the stair ornament corner.

Many of you have asked, and I know many of you REALLY wished the Prima brick wall stamp I often use on my works, including on this one. Comfort-Craft Tools

A line with ergonomic tools designed for hours and hours of pleasured crafting and designing.

Sneak peeks of my very first product release with Prima!

Hope you're all having just as good day as I have! Here it is sunny and nice today, and I am superduper happy and excited to finally be able to share some sneaks of one of my very first product release which will be released by Prima this CHA!

And here's a work I made with some of these new designs, a altered alarm clock;

I just removed the glass, moved the clock face a bit backwards for better room in front to embellish. On the clock hands I added some BRAN NEW tiny Prima alphas which is one of my wishes and ideas to Prima and will also be released this CHA! (More info to come). Then I embellished with one of my small sparrow resins and the garden resin bridge, plus some clock gears and lots of Prima flowers.

The alarm clock was ordinary golden colored, so I decided to emboss it with Tea Dye colored embossing powder, then added layers of crackle paint randomly on, before use my upcoming Chalk Edgers on the rusty spots in colors Dark Rust and Rusty Bucket for more natural rusty look.

Here you can see a close-up of the Garden Bridge where I have add touches of Chalk Fluid "Rusty Bucket" from my upcoming fast drying Chalk Edgers! Very easy to do and adds a personal and natural touch to your embellish.

And one of the sparrows sitting on one of the clock arms, here natural colored as in packaging.

Curious Mind layout and online classes!

Hi everyone, hope you all are having a good day.
And to all American people; HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!! Hope this will be an amazing day for you all!

Here I am swamped, it's that crazy time at the year when everything shall be prepared to CHA, and this time it is even more insane due to my new upcoming product releases with Prima! :D So much to prepare, and it is fun, fun fun! And I am also working on all my upcoming classes for this fall, so, there is absolutely enough to do before I leave Norway to head to USA in 10 days! *wow time flies*

Anyway, some things from me today;
1. It seems like Canada will be on my list too for this trip! ;O)
2. I will start to share sneaks of my NEW product release with Prima here in my blog SOON! ;O)

Ok, I have some more works to share that I have done for about an year ago which have been out for publication since, and today I will share another one done for the great Prima Inspiration book.
"Curious Mind" is a Prima layout where I had fun doing tons of hand cut outs and different painting techniques on a Prima paintable, and here it is;

Candy Boxes

Hi everyone.

How are you all doing? I am totally swamped now, so much to get done before CHA and the upcoming USA-tour which I am really looking forward to! ;O)

Today I wish to share some works I did for the Prima Inspiration book last year. Two altered boxes with candy, and first up is a "Love Candy Box" filled with red gel hearts;

This is an empty Prima box which used to have those old BIG flowers inside. I covered the top and the bottom with Prima Paintable cardstock which I decided to leave clean in black and white. The black angels and circles with text on clear is pattern from an old Prima overlay which I cut out and mounted to the clear on the box. I filled the "heart-themed" box with red gel hearts.

On the top lid I decorated with a wide vintage bow and Prima flowers, and the title is chipboard letters standing in melted wax (melt some drops of wax on the project and quickly add the chipboard letters before the wax gets cold. Drip wax for one letter at the time, set in the letter, then drip wax for the next letter and so on..).

And a close up showing a vintage lace and a Prima chipboard with rub-on words which I added on.

I also made a altered wooden box from Prima (old) which used to have chipboard, ribbons and buttons inside, which I filled with chocolate! :D *love chocolate*

I do not have any good pics of this project, and unfortunately it was damaged during transport, so i have not been able to take new shots either. Anyway, here is a (bad) peek of it;

I totally LOVE the chocolates which was inside of it for a tiny bit... ;O) lol.

And a close-up showing the stamped butterfly on a clear I cut out and added on the top of the large Prima flower.

"Chocolate Face"

Hi everyone.

Today I'm gonna share another layout I did for the Prima book last year. It is a layout where I used a black and white photo of my daughter where she is eating chocolate and has chocolate all over her face. I used a white Prima paintable cardstock (with black print) where I mainly added only chocolate brown to try to bring up the more of the "chocolate-feel" since the photo is in black and white, and added only a few hints of other colors (reddish and green) on the rest of the layout.

I called the layout "Chocolate Face", and here it is;

I adore photos as this one of my daughter, the small magical moments of our children, special childhood moments captured for ever.

And a short note; On the right side of my blog here I will put up ads for where I will teach within the next 12 months, and lots of them are already up and many more will come! ;O) So if you wish to attend one of my classes, please look at the right side here in my blog for all upcoming classes within the next 12 months. Shabby Chic layout - Pure Beauty

Happy Monday (or Sunday for some) dear blog readers!
Did you all have a great weekend? I am still busy planning the USA-tour, all the classes and get everything ready to CHA. I'm so excited, and each week are passing so quickly and I can't believe it's only about an month left to I jump on the plane! Can't wait to meet some of you and to see USA for the very first time, wahoo! :D

Today I wish to share a layout I created last year for the Prima book. It is a shabby chic layout with a picture of my daughter where she is taking a bath, a picture I truly love. And this time I used pinks together with the black and white photo, colors I usually don't use, but I think those colors were perfect for this photo and this romantic and shabby chic style. I used a Prima stitched paper, cut off the rose border on left and placed it on a cardstock. Then added lace over the rose border and between the rest of the stitched paper before adding it on. Then embellished after desire with roses, stamps, note book paper, metals and so on. This layout I called "Pure Beauty", and here it is;

And a some close-ups;

My "special" girl, love these tabs from Melissa Frances. Also melted some white wax on, so fun little detail to add to every kind of project. Some lace and mulberry roses peaking out on the left.

I used a huge old Prima flowers (which I love) as a base for the little title metal frame and label. On the flower I used different stamping and painting techniques to add texture and a personal touch.

Some shabby chic embellish like Prima mulberry roses, vintage lace and metals.

Altered Gift Box

Hi all, having a great day?

First of all I want to thank all of you for all the nice comments I get on my posts, each one of them means so much to me. Now when I shall travel around in the world to teach classes, I really hope that I will meet some of you in real life and you all means so much to me. I just wish I had more time to blog-jump and to give comments back to you all, but my days just isn't long enough and I am always swamped in stuff to do. But I hope that I one day will be able to comment a bit more back, I owe it to each one of you. THANK YOU for every visit you have done to my blog and THANK YOU for every word that's left behind. I've blogged for 3 years and 5 months no, and you all inspire me to keep sharing my works for a long long time to come., - a warm hug to each one of you!

Time flies, and the last years have given me so much. For five years back I had NEVER dreamed of everything I have been trough the last four years. When scrapbooking became my big passion in life in 2007, I had this little dream of making my scrapbook to a living. There was this tiny idea in my head to become a product designer, but I remember that idea was for me so unreal, seemed so far away, that I didn't dared to even hope for it. But, I dreamed about being a part of a design team, and Prima was the first brand who have meant tons for me and my scrapbook from the very first beginning, they have always been my "heart brand".
I never forget the day I got invited to join Prima's DT from July 2008, it was truly a BIG dream coming true! And wow, 3 years has passed already, and wow it has been 3 amazing years that I will never forget. I can't imagine a better team to be a part of, and one of the reasons is the most amazing DT coordinator Sharon Laakkonen who always takes so good care of everyone on the DT and makes us all feel so special and appreciated. She have done my time on the DT to something extra precious for me, because of the amazing coordinator she is, and I am sure everyone else on the team feels the same too. So, I wanted to give her at least a tiny thing back, so I made this "Thank You" gift box to her;

It's a corrugated cardstock box where I used Gesso and teared pattern paper pieces in a technique to make it look extra shabby chic. Added tons of different Prima products on the lid, together with different scraps for a Shabby Chic-Steampunk mixed look, a "Pretty Punk" style, totally inspired by the very cool steampunk-style from the very talented Finnabair, together with the soft and more romantic and shabby chic look which I love.

Here you can see one of the sides of the box, and the white bird peeking up on the lid ;O)

From one of the back corners. I just love that non-brand white bird! it's a find from Dubai, so love it!

And here you can see some of the details on the lid, vintage clock faces and hands, gears, buttons and different Prima centers, all with a coat of Gesso and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, before adding flowers and chipboard alpha on.

Inside the box there was a "little secret" to Sharon, with the names of all her 7 beautiful kids on and a heart with 7 stones/crystals, which I placed on a bed of pink Rose Trim from Prima.
- Thank You Sharon for making the 3 years on Prima's DT so extra special and precious, and thank you for who you are!

I do not know if Prima have already picked their new DT. But I wish everyone of you who have tried out for the DT call good luck! For me it has been 3 amazing years, and I am sure those of you who will join the new team will have an amazing time on the team too, and I can't wait to see what amazing pieces the new DT will create!

For me the future will be a bit different now... As mentioned earlier in the post I had this far dream about become a product designer, and my Comfort-Craft Tools is no longer a secret. And in the post below I shared the news that I will teach for Prima, and a few more secrets will be shared soon :D All I can say is that I am so excited, so happy... I pinch myself in the arm every day, I can't believe what's happening around me now, all the opportunities I have been given.. and I can't wait to see what the next months will bring! I am so, so thankful... And I can't wait to meet scrappers from around the world, to meet some of YOU! :D

A Boy Teenager Card!

Hi there all of you.

Hope you all had a great National Scrapbooking Day!

By the way... I am still confused about why they are calling it "National" when it is International.. So if anyone knows who to contact to rename that day, please let me know! :O) lol. Who is actually the ones behind this day, who came up with it? I think it is about time to rename that day now. Scrapbookers around the whole world are celebrating that day together, and i think it is the only fair thing that it is called International Scrapbooking Day. Maybe we could have that changed to next year?... I personally think that would be great!

Now, over to my work for this post. One of my mums friends needed a card for her grandsons confirmation. And, to make something for a boy that is 15 years old, isn't always the most easy thing to do. It is usually important for them to be "cool", to be more grown ups... Too childish is a huge "NO NO", and the same with romantic or girlish looking things... And not always do the boys in that age have any special interest either to theme the projects with. It has to be "right", and personally, as the embellishing loving person I am, I think there is not enough embellish on the market for this theme yet. It is getting better, but still there could have been more. I LOVE to add flowers on almost everything I create, but this time it was great to have the challenge where to not use flowers and try to make the style on the card as "boyish" as possible. Not sure if I made it, but anyway, here it is;

I decided to go for colors that should work for a 15 year old boy. And since this boy didn't have any special interests, I went for gears, screw brads, a key and a tool, which all can be related to motorcycles or cars which should work for almost every boy in that age. I also chose different patterns and metal frames for a kind of "street look". Words as "Discover", "Warning" and "Traditions" are catchy or cool words that also tells a bit about the age he is in and the "traditional" confirmation he gets this card for.

Mixed products in several layers as cord, transparency, magic mesh, stamps and machine stitches also helps creating a "street-look" that I think works for teenagers.

Here you can see the layering with metal frames, cords, chipboard and so on. This is an easy and fun card to make!

I used lots of different brands and products as Prima brick wall stamp, Prima Chipbaord Journal, 7 Gypsies tape (warning), 7 Gypsies metals (frames and "traditions" tab), Hambly transparency, Kort & Godt "til Konfirmanten" stamp, Tim Holtz metal key, Karen Foster screw brads and tools and so on....

Today I will share a summer layout filled with Prima goodies. It's with last CHA Prima news, and it is about our last summer vacation with a picture of my daughter. Here it is;

I've cut out the green pattern paper framem (Sparkling Spring Collection, "Amie") and cut it in two halfs. Then hand stitched with white cord, and switched the two frames around heading against each other. Then adding a Prima ribbon between, and decorated over. I used another pattern paper (Sparkling Spring collection, Emily) as a 12x12 background.

And some close-ups;

I just LOVE these canvas covered chipboard letters from Prima! Clean and simple design/letter type and so easy to use. A "must have"!

I framed the photo with a beautiful Prima note card.

I'm so addicted to all the beautiful flowers from Prima, just love to ad tons and tons of flowers to my projects. Here I used a mix of Prima flowers, but especially wish to point out the beautiful Summer Carnation with branches! So fun to use, just twist, shape as desire and add! Here I used it to "frame the foto".

Prima's Vintage Trinkets is always the "little extra" to add to your projects. Here I used a crystal in the middle of the tulle.

Alumni at The Color Room for Palette #54!

Hi all.

Hope you all are having a great and wonderful day! Here in Norway it is already Ester Holidays, and we're having the most wonderful day with amazing weather outside! Real "Easter Weather" as we usually call it.. ;O) It is hot, at least for us Norwegians ;O) We do now say that "it is summer outside", even though there is only almost 20 degrees. But, we usually never have it this warm this early in the year. So, I have to write this post quickly so I can go outside and enjoy our sunny weather! :D

Again this last week I have had the honor of being a alumni at The Color Room! It's so fun to play with their amazing palettes and sketches again, such great inspiration and a great way to use different colors and products then you maybe usually do.

This is the inspirational sketch and palette #54 from The color Room, and below here is the layout I made for this palette. I also used the sketch this time, totally loved to play with it all!

And some details... ;

And of course, I used mostly Prima products on this layout. The large star-shaped flowers are "my" Prima flowers called Corine Collection. I just LOVE to play with them! The clock face and large clock hand are vintage findings.

This is all for now, I have to spend the rest of the day outside! ;O)

Angelic layout filled with Prima!

Hi all dear blog readers.

Finally I can share a layout I did a long time ago. This layout I created for a French book which was supposed to be released but never did. And in the same moment I found out the book probably wouldn't be released, Prima picked this up for their book instead! So this layout is in Prima's inspirational book which was released at summer CHA 2010, and have been out for publication since.

I had really fun doing this layout. I love everything Prima have in their wide range of products, just love to create with it all!

I used a Prima felt gate on this layout, and cut it up in two pieces to be able to "open it up" and put the photo of my daughter in between. I also used white dabber from Ranger (Snow Cap) on the original dark brown felt to tone down the color a bit to match this soft layout.
Lots of Prima mulberry roses and Lilly vine.

And a few close-ups ;O)

I used grungeboard hinges from Tim Holtz to "fasten" the felt gate from Prima.

A few Prima layouts

Hi everyone.

Had a great week so far? I am having such a busy time right now, probably more crazy then ever! But, can't complain at all, this is so fun and it is what I really want to do! To design layouts, to design products, to plan workshops and events for all over the world and to finally meet a lot of you! :D I am so excited these days, there is a lot going on, and I can't wait to start sharing all this with you in the next months to come! :D *wohooo I'm excited!*

Prima February BAP layout

Hi all dear blog readers, hope you all had a great weekend?

Today I will share a layout I made for Prima's Build-A-Page sketch challenge for March. to see their great sketch, please visit Prima's blog here.

This layout is about my mum and mu daughter, and they are both so close to each other and love each other so much. My daughter just loves to stay with my mum, and she doesn't mind to stay with her just as much as she stays with me. And I am so proud to have a mum and a daughter who both has a big and warm heart, and they both share their kindness with everyone around them selves, especially to each other; therefore the title "Love Bond".

I used mainly Prima products on this heart-themed layout. The angels are an old Prima paintable 12x12 where I have cut out the design. Used some amazing new Vintage Trinkets, a mix of beautiful new flowers, and the Donna downey heart foam stamp! On Donnas stamp I used white Liquid Applique, and filled the heart with a mix of crackle paints from Ranger. The fence stamp is an old stamp from Prima, from the Crenee collection.

Coming to USA!

Hi everyone in USA and all of you who are already planning to go to CHA summer!

I have some exciting news to share with you all;

I am so excited about this all! Two of my biggest dreams are coming true this summer; to release my own product line (and not "just" to release a own line, but with Prima!!!), and maybe best of all, to go to USA to teach classes and finally meet you all! Prima altered headbands

Prima rocks! Agree? ;O) Seriously; it has never been a secret how much I love them. And, you do understand why, right? They always comes out with the most amazing products, ALWAYS! They are all so fun to play with and so beautiful. And in this release they released some beautiful headbands covered with velvet, ready to decorate after desire. How great isn't that?

I altered some of these for CHA, and today I will share two of those.

First up, a pink one I altered with a touch of vintage and shabby chic style;

I used some of Prima's new clear stamps and embossed with white embossing powder directly on the felt for a touch of a vintage pattern. I also used a brand new Prima Say-It-In-Crystals and a vintage Trinkets flower in the center.

Here it shows on my daughter's head;

And here is one I made in rosebud and white colors;

This one was original grey, so I used one of Prima's brand new masks and added white Liquid Applique around it and heated it up to puff up. Then I added touches of Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist "Cranberry Zing" on before I decorated it with brand new Prima flowers after desire.

And of course, my daughter posing with this headband, and a matching dress, also decorated with prima flowers and crystals.

CHA NEWS; My own Prima tool line!

COMFORT-CRAFT TOOLS

No words can describe how excited I am to finally be able to share these news with you all! I am so proud, so happy... my dream have come true; my very first product designs, my own line, at Prima! :D
I have worked on this for a while now, so it has been so hard to not be able to share it all. To be so excited about this, but to have to keep it as a secret, has not been easy at all! But finally, finally I can share this with you! :D So please let me introduce my "babies", my own line of Prima crafting tools!

The line is called Comfort-Craft Tools, and the whole line is designed by me, for comfortable and pleasurable crafting! It's an ergonomic line, in my favorite color, with different cutting and distressing tools to work on all my favorite techniques! All tools are designed to fit both right and left handed crafters. With these tools, it will be an pleasure to cut the smallest details and hand paper cuts, and create vintage paper edges and all other distressed designs!

Here are my very first peeks of my line;

The line will be introduced at CHA now today, and will be ready for delivery this spring! Prima are ready to take orders now, so please make sure to drop by their booth if you are going to CHA!

Comfort-Craft contains the following tools;

- Chalk Fluid Pads. These cute little pads are perfect to distress your paper edges and designs with! The chalk fluid dries quickly, and both the pad and the handle are perfectly shaped for verifiable and accurate work; very easy to hold and to work with. Will be available in a wide variety of colors!

- Distressing Tools. These tools are the perfect tools for distressing techniques on your crafting projects, just what you need to create your own vintage or "used" looks! They contains rough rasps, metal brushes, files, paper edge scraper and even nail-effect edges! Replaceable rasps and files.

- Scissor. This is a scissor designed for pure comfort! Even though it is a small scissor with sharp tips, the tails on the handles makes it easy to control for even the smallest details. The soft and ergonomically shaped handles makes sure it will be an pleasure to cut with. The blades are non-stick-able!

- Craft knife. As a hand paper cuts-addicted girl myself, I know how important it is with a very good knife to be able to work on all the smallest details or lots of cuttings, without getting too tired in my fingers. So when I designed this knife, the special and ergonomic shape had the main focus. This craft knife will fall naturally in place in your hand, no matter if you will stand and cut straight lines or if you will sit and work on the smallest details and need a grip close to the blade. It comes with different blades for different techniques and uses, and you can very easily adjust the blade angle on the knife to the type of blade you choose to work with. Room for blade replacements in the back.

- Self Healing Mats. Useful self healing mats to protect your table when you work on your projects! This will be available in several sizes, from the small and handy ones to come with you to crops and events, to the big ones for all the space you need in your craft room! Lots of useful information on all mats, and the grid and rulers shows both inches and centimeters. A self healing mat is needed when you work with craft knifes and distressing tools.

Comfort-Craft will also of course be a part of my teaching program in the coming years!

I guess this is all I am able to share with you right now, but please check back soon for further updates and details. I will also of course share with you all some tutorials and videos on my line as soon as possible.

Shabby Chic Candle holder with BRAND NEW Prima products!

Hi all my dear blog readers.

It's only "a day" away to CHA opens, and it is time to share more of my works with BRAND NEW Prima goodies on! Today I will share a candle holder I made from an old Prima tin and a decorated candle. A "go green" project in shabby chic style!

Here it is, decorated candle and candle holder;

First I cut out the clear circle window on top of the lid to make room for the candle. Then I embossed the metal colored tin with white sea foam embossing powder. Then I distressed the edges with inks in black and rusty brown, very randomly, to create a rusty metal look. On the front I stamped with one of Prima's brand new stamps, and added a beautiful Vintage Trinket together with wax and some old clock gears. I added lots of delicate Prima flowers on top of the tin, before placing the candle into the hole on the top of the lid.

And here some close-ups;

I rubbed some of Prima's new and amazing rub-ons directly to the candle. Both flowers and text. These rub-ons are in so high quality that it wasn't a hard job at all to add them on the candle, even though the candle actually is very slippery. The beautiful little key is also one of the new Vintage Trinkets from Prima.

And here you can see the distressed details on back of the tin.

Layout with brand new Donna Downey products!

Hi all. Having a great week so far?

Today I am going to share one of my latest layouts made with some BRAND NEW amazing Prima products from the great Donna Downey line! I really love these canvas and textile products from Donna, they are so, so fun to play with!

This layout is about my 4 year old daughter which has a really big heart. She always wish to help and to do the best she can for everyone around her. So that is what I tried to catch up with this design on this layout which I called "She has a BIG heart";

And a close-up;

Donna Downey's canvas has a beautiful red heart on, which i used as a main base for this design. The white heart is also from Donna Downey, one of her brand new BIG foam stamps! I added white Liquid Applique on the foam and stamped on to the design, and heated up the applique to make it pop up. Then I added touches of white acrylic paint on the tops of the puffy applique with my fingers.

Altered heart with BRAND NEW Prima goodies!

Hi all dear blog readers.

It has been a bit silent in here this month, a lot more silent then I actually planned it to be. I have simply been to busy the last week, with creating for CHA on lots of other stuff. But now I am ready to start sharing some works with you all, and first up is an altered heart I did with lots of BRAND NEW Prima goodies!

I used a polystyrene heart, and cut out a square hole in it which fitted the size of the beautiful old window from an old stamp set (Crenee) from Prima. I stamped this window on a dark brown cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder. I did this twice to create two windows, and cut out the whole center in one of them so I could use it as a window sill, and the 4 window squares in the other one to make holes for glass to look trough. I used a square piece of a transparent sheet and folded it and inked it where it was folded, and cut away some parts of it, to create a look as a broken window glass. Then I added this distressed transparent piece on the backside of the embossed window which still was complete.

I altered the polystyrene heart with strips of teared Prima pattern paper. I used Claudine Hellmuth's Gesso on both sites of each paper strip. This great medium works well as glue and to soften up the paper so you better can work with it to fit the shape of the heart. As soon as I have placed and shaped the strips as I want them, I use wet tissues to remove all the Gesso that's left on the heart.

Then, I mounted on the widow pieces and added embellish after desire ;o)

Here you can see the broken window glass, and some old hinges. I also added a vintage old clock face and some clock gears in the "secret window room". The beautiful bird is one of Prima's new rub-ons! I rubbed it on to a transparent sheet and cut it out, like this you can use and add rub-ons wherever you wish on your craft!

Here again you can see the technique I use with rub-ons on transparent sheets. Here used on some brand new amazingly beautiful butterfly rub-ons from Prima! The little branch with leaves on in the background is also a new rub-on from Prima, added directly to the paper on the heart. I also used Ranger crackle paint (Picked Fence) around the window still to create a more vintage look.

Here you can see one of Prima's new Vintage Trinkets, the sweet little metal key lock heart! Isn't that sweet?!

Here you can see another new and very beautiful rub-on, the text "Memories".

A Dusty Attic layout!

Hello all dear bloggers!

In the end of 2010 I had the honor of being Dusty Attic's honored guest designer. But, the water leak I had in my studio had to put everything on hold after just one layout to I was up running with my new studio, which I'm finally am! :) So, I have just finished up another work for Dusty Attic, and I have to say; THESE CHIPBOARD DESIGNS ARE AMAZING! I had so fun creating with them, and felt like I HAD to add at least 3 large chipboard figures on this one layout, I simply couldn't resist!

And here is my result;

Magnificent Spring

And here are my close-ups;

In the upper right corner I used a "Hanging Sign" chipboard figure from Dusty attic, and added just a touch of Glimmer Mist (Black Gold) on. On the sign I added a touch of Ranger Crackle Paint (Picked Fence) and misted the edges on the sign a bit with black ink. Then I added some vintage findings as a old clock face, some large clock hands and some small clock gears to the sign. I used 7 Gypsies stamp with sweet and meaningful words instead of numbers on the layout for the clock hands to point at.

In the upper left corner, the "Beautiful Lamp Post #2" add amazing touches and are used as a "base" for other details. On the background I stamped with an old and retired Collage Clear Stamp "Brick wall" from Prima (Hard to find!) , and flowers and stamped bird from Prima.

In the bottom right corner, I added a Park Bench from Dusty Attic, and filled around it with different rub-ons, and some flowers and bird stamp from Prima. The Park Bench I painted white, and placed it a bit outside of the layout and cut off what was sticking outside. Like this I created a design that looks like it continues also outside of the layout, it can kind of "invite you" into the story that happens inside of the 12x12 inches.
I had two pictures of my daughter Iselina which I wanted to use on this layout. I kept one as it was, and cut out the other one, and places them on like it looks like she is stepping out of the picture and into the "story" on the layout.

In the bottom left corner, I added a big old iron key, which I painted a bit white paint on very randomly before I added it to the layout.

Hi again all my dear blog visitors!

How are you all today?

I'm having a great day over here in Norway! It is raining and it is actually a terrible weather outside, but it doesn't matter much when I got 4 packages in my mail today with great findings from eBay and goodies from a online scrap store! :D I also bought myself a new photo Canon printer today, and a new mobile phone. On top of that, I am playing with Prima goodies for CHA! :D Could it be better then this? So who cares about the weather outside?!.. ;o)

I promised to share more works with you all today, my last works made as a honored guest designer at Melissa Frances. And here they are, starting with my layout first. I just HAD to create a white layout! I had never done that before, and really wanted to try it out. And here is my result;

I made the photo of my darling daughter black and white, but kept her hat original blue.

Chandelier crystals hanging under the photo and the broken photo frame. These I stitched to an old crochet tablecloth which I found at a local 2nd hand store.

And I created a card to a very special and meaningful sweet friend, and here it is;

I will teach "around the world" in 2011!!!

Hi all. I promised you all to share some news today, and here it is! :)

I have trough the last years been invited to teach classes all around the world, but several things in life have forced me to put teaching on hold. But now, finally, I have opened up to start teaching classes in 2011! :D I am so happy for this and are really looking forward to it all, to meet scrappers from around the world, and to maybe meet you! ;o)

My first classes will start in September, and I have already classes booked for almost whole 2011! I even have some booked for 2012, so I will be traveling a lot the next years and who knows, maybe I will come to your country too?

I do not have the details for my classes ready yet, but are working on them to get everything settled as soon as possible, and promise to share it all in here as soon as I know more!

But what I can share right now of where I will be teaching in 2011, are these events;

Before Christmas I was so honored to be Melissa Frances Guest designer. But something happened with our e-mails.. they never got my works.. So they decided to redo the whole GDT post, and so will I! Goodbye 2010

Hi all

Today I want to share a post with a bit from 2010, an amazing year with amazing experiences and lots of great memories!

It has been a busy year. I have been so honored to be a part of Prima's and Onirie's design team trough the whole year, and in April I was invited to The Color Room's DT, and of course accepted this honoring invitation. As a mum to a sweet and very active 3-4 year old girl and a DT member for three DT's, it is a very busy life, but so fun! ;o) And my life went even more busy in August when I went back to school to study Graphic Design. As a student and a mum, life just went too busy, and I didn't manage to meet all deadlines anymore on all my DT's. So it was with a heavy heart i had to make a decision to step down from The Color Room's DT in November 2010. It has been an amazing place to be a part of, an amazing DT with so many talented and sweet ladies from all around the world! And The Color Room is a truly great site, so inspiring, not only for those of you who visit the site to find inspiration, but also for us who has been so honored to be a part of the team. It inspire all of us!
So THANK YOU to the girls at The Color Room who gave me this honoring opportunity, I really appreciate it and will look back on the months I were on the DT with happiness and lots of lots of great memories! I will miss you all!!!

In June I was in Dubai, and it was the most amazing trip I ever have been on! It filled my heart with so many amazing moments and memories, even though I was there for just 3 days. When I came back home it felt like I had been on a month long trip, that many amazing experiences I had with me back home in my luggage! Everything was more then I could ever dream of... First of all the all the people was so welcoming and sweet, they had so big hearts and truly made sure my trip was extra special. The classes was so amazing too, all the ladies were so sweet and so talented! And their country is more then I can describe with words, Dubai is just too amazing! Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Bin Haider and Family for inviting me to your home country and to bring such amazing moments into my life! I will never forget you or this weekend in amazing Dubai, and I hope I will see you all again one day soon!

I have also had the honor to work on designs for Prima's first book which was released at CHA in July. And there has been monthly works for magazines around the world, like Scrap Pour Tous in France to Scrapbooking Memories in Australia and Scrap-Info in Russia, and so on... You can see lots of my published works and the pages they are on in my gallery here in my left menu called "Published". I will upload more in the next days, and some pages still have to wait... ;o)
It all makes me feel so unbelievable privileged, to be so lucky to be able to work with what I love the most and to share my works with all of you. I wish to thank all of you who invited me to design for you in 2010, I truly appreciate it, thank you so much!

Scrap Pour Tous is a great French Magazine which I have worked a bit for in 2010. On issue Autumn 2010, you can see one of my works on the cover (on the left), and more works inside, with lots of lots of flowers! Scrap Pour Tous is an truly inspiring magazine, so if you can get your hands on it, I really recommend you to check it out!

And here, on the Winter issue, you can also see one of my works on the cover (on the left) and more inside! This time for the theme "Bollywood" and more!

I have also been so honored to guest design for several brands who all are so amazing and have such wonderful products! Melissa Frances, Dusty Attic, ScrapWare, 3ndy Papir and Layers of Color, - thank you to all of you for these great opportunities!

And for 2011 I have lots of exciting things going on, lots of big secrets are coming up! ;o) I can't share anything yet, but will share some news already tomorrow ;o)
